When you are packing your belongings away, it is important to leave room for a center aisle down the middle of your storage unit. This will provide for easy access to all of your belongings. Without the center aisle, it will be difficult to reach items in the back of your unit. It will also make it difficult to move around or even search for items in your storage unit. Planning for a center aisle will make future trips to your storage unit much less stressful as you will be able to easily access all the items in your unit.

One of the most important things about storing your belongings is planning on how you are going to your items. The order in which you put your belongings into your storage unit is important if you want to save time later. Items that you frequently use should be stored at the front of the unit. Then when you need the item, you do not have to search through your unit to find it or move other items out of the way to get to what you need. In the same regard, items that you do not plan to use should go in the back of the unit and at the bottom of any stacks. This way the items will not be in your way later. Spending a little time when you are packing your items away can save you a lot of time later when you need to pull items out of storage.
